Consultants to local government

NSW Local Government entities need to take care when engaging consultants for similar services over a period of time, to ensure that they do not exceed the tendering thresholds nominated under the Local Government Act 1993. Councils may avoid the risk of exceeding those thresholds by appointing their own select panel, or engaging services via a prescribed organisation such as the State Contracts Control Board or the Local Government Procurement Partnership.

CPE Associates is an approved contractor under Local Government Procurement’s Engineering, Planning and Development and Community Professional Consulting Services Panel (Contract LGP12.08).Local Government Procurement Approved Contractor

This means that NSW local government organisations can engage CPE Associates via a quotation process, while ensuring full compliance with the tendering requirements of the Local Government Act 1993.

All directors have worked in senior roles in local government, and small to medium councils have formed a significant component of the consultants’ business.
