The developer sought to implement concepts for water & wastewater management for a proposed south coast retirement village.

The project, including development of a site water balance, involved:

• Examining measures to maximise water use efficiency and water conservation within the development
• Installation of water efficient appliances and processes
• Elimination of the use of potable water for lawn & landscape irrigation
• Maximising the harvesting and reuse of rainwater and stormwater as a means of reducing reliance on the potable supply
• Grey water reuse.
